UEFA Country Ranking is based on the results of each association's clubs in the five previous UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League seasons. The rankings determine the number of places allocated to an association in the forthcoming UEFA club competition.

UEFA Country Ranking 2019/2020 will determine number of places allocated to associations for Champions League, Europa League and new competition Europa Conference League (ECL) in season 2021/2022. Access List (on the right side of the table) is officially confirmed by UEFA and as we can see - there is no change in Champions League.
Difference is in case of Europa League: There will be only 32 clubs (and not 48 as in the past) participating in Group Stage. Those clubs will be only from top 15 associations + league champions eliminated in Champions League qualification. Another 32 clubs will take part in Conference League Group Stage. More details are at the bottom of this page.

LIVE UPDATE AREA

Changes and Access List:

Europa League
Direct GS spot will have 22 teams: winner of previous EL2 (1x), clubs from top 6 associations (11x), teams eliminated in CL League Route Q3 and Q4 (6x) and teams eliminated in CL Champions Route Q4 (4x). Rest 10 spots are reserved for teams from qualification, which will have only two rounds:
Q3 League Route - for domestic Cup winners from countries on 13., 14. and 15. place and for 3 teams eliminated in CL League Route Q2.
Q3 Champions Route - for 10 teams eliminated in CL Champions Route Q2.
Q4 'Mixed' - for domestic Cup winners from countries on 7.-12. place, for 6 teams eliminated in CL Champions Route Q3 and for 8 winners of previous Q3.

Conference League
Direct GS spot will have only 10 teams (those eliminated in EL Q4). Rest 22 spots are reserved for teams from qualification, which will be split into two routes. League Route will have 4 qualifying rounds and there aren't any teams from CL/EL except 3 teams eliminated in EL League Route Q3 (these three teams enter last qualifying round). CR is following:
Q2 Champions Route - for 20 teams eliminated in CL Champions Route PR and Q1.
Q3 Champions Route - for 10 winners of previous round.
Q4 Champions Route - for 5 winners of previous round and 5 teams eliminated in EL Champions Route Q3.

Group Stages of all three competitions will have 8 groups by 4 teams. There is a change in first KO rounds (after GS) in EL because group winners in EL and ECL will receive bye in a following round (now also third-placed teams in EL will continue in European Cups - in Conference League). Format is following:
CL: Clubs on third places advance for EL 'Round of 24' (round inserted between EL GS and Round of 16; teams from CL will play against 8 EL runners-up).
EL: Group winners advance for EL Round of 16. Runners-up advance for already mentioned EL 'Round of 24' (winners of this round advance for Round of 16). Clubs on third places advance for ECL 'Round of 24'.
ECL: Group winners advance for ECL Round of 16. Runners-up advance for ECL 'Round of 24' and will play against third-placed EL teams.

Notes:
1) If CL title holder qualifies for CL GS also via league, league champion from country on 11th place will start in GS.
2) If EL title holder qualifies for CL GS also via league, 3rd team from country on 5th place will start in GS.

3) Because Liechtenstein doesn't organise the league system, only cup winner qualifies for European Cups (Conference League).
4) Example of allocating of places in European Cups (due frequent confusions): Austria finish at 10. position in this Country Ranking 2019/2020, so winner of Austrian Bundesliga 2020/2021 will start in Champions League group stage in season 2021/2022.

Numbers in columns indicate earned points in given season. Column "clubs" indicates number of clubs in current European season (still in competitions / total number of clubs).

There is access list next to the table (Champions League in blue color, Europa League in orange and Conference League in green). Ordinal numbers (1., 2., 3. etc.) indicate league position of club and C represents winner of domestic cup. Lines indicate differences in allocations of places between final positions. Top row shows starting round for each club:
GS - Group Stage; L4 - League route 4th qualifying round; L3 - League route 3rd qualifying round; L2 - League route 2nd qualifying round; L1 - League route 1st qualifying round;
C4 - Champions route 4th qualifying round; C3 - Champions route 3rd qualifying round; C2 - Champions route 2nd qualifying round; C1 - Champions route 1st qualifying round; PR - preliminary round. Please note - there is champions route also in EL and ECL (only for league winners eliminated in CL).
This ranking will be final after Champions League 2019/2020 final match. For calculation details click here.
